Ginologist needed an ecommerce concept as distinctive as its range. We made the product the hero through bold colour, floral direction and motion — without hiding behind lifestyle photography.

Ginologist needed to sell a floral gin range online without relying on the usual lifestyle-shot formula
Ginologist wanted a fresh, authentic ecommerce website for gin enthusiasts looking to learn about and buy its range. The brief called for a floral-inspired visual direction with enough character to feel memorable in a crowded drinks category.
The main design challenge was product storytelling. There was no lifestyle-imagery safety net: the bottle, its flavour and the visual world around it had to do the work. The site needed to be colourful and expressive without losing the clarity people need when they are deciding what to buy.
Working in partnership with NJIN, we designed the ecommerce experience and interactive prototype in Sketch. The concept focused on the homepage and single-product journey, using bold colour, floral detail and purposeful motion to keep attention on the product range.
The work remained an unshipped concept after Ginologist selected another agency. The planned build was WordPress and Elementor, but Kreate did not develop it. What remains useful is the product-storytelling direction: a clear example of how an ecommerce interface can make a physical product feel like the main event.
We translated the floral brief into a bold, colourful ecommerce direction with a clear point of view.
We mapped the path from discovery to product detail, giving each bottle enough space to communicate its character and range information.
We produced the responsive UX/UI and interactive prototype for the proposed WordPress and Elementor build.
