UX research & strategy at Kreate covers discovery, user interviews, journey maps and testing. The work is for teams that need to understand their users, or find out what they do not yet know about them, before design decisions are made.
The right scope depends on the question the product needs answered. Published work ranges from mapping ecommerce user flows to extensive user testing ahead of a product launch. It also includes an unshipped interactive prototype, where the work clarified the product experience without being mistaken for a launched product.
Discovery is the listed starting point, with user interviews, journey maps and testing among the capabilities. The interview process for this service confirms that clients come to Kreate when they need to understand their users, or when they have no clear understanding of them yet.
There is no fixed method-selection rule or standard package specified. Kreate starts with a briefing call to define scope. That gives both sides a chance to establish what the product needs to learn before deciding what work to take forward.
City Lodge Hotels needed a digital platform for its rebrand, not only a better booking flow. Kreate led UX and UI design across the marketing, content, account and booking experience, covering 100+ screens. The booking journey followed familiar industry patterns, met AA accessibility standards and gave travellers ways to correct mistakes. The work also included desktop and mobile UX audits after launch.
For Braai League, Kreate spent 1 year building and testing the product before its September 2025 launch, including extensive user testing in the lead-up. The shipped product gives the social competition a small core loop: post a braai, receive Flames, climb the leaderboard and compete for Braai of the Month. These examples show different product contexts; they do not imply that every engagement uses the same research methods.
Blue Beat Digital needed to improve ecommerce UX across a 500+ SKU catalogue on a 2-week deadline. Kreate mapped ecommerce UX flows and redesigned the landing page as part of the delivered work. The published case study does not include a before-and-after conversion rate, so it makes no conversion-uplift claim.
Ginologist is a different kind of proof. Kreate designed ecommerce user flows and an interactive Sketch prototype for the homepage and single-product journey. The concept remained unshipped after Ginologist selected another agency; the planned WordPress build was not developed by Kreate. We keep that distinction clear because a prototype can inform a product without being a live product.
We define the scope together. From there, the next steps depend on what the product needs to understand.
Once the scope is clear, we can agree what to take forward.
It is for people who need to understand their users, or who do not yet have a clear understanding of them.
The listed capabilities are discovery, user interviews, journey maps and testing. The scope is defined for the product on a briefing call.
Start with a briefing call to define the scope. From there, Kreate can work out the next step.
