Pirates Rugby Club was launching a streaming service. We made the announcement film feel like the club: direct, proud and built around the supporters.

A new streaming service needed a launch film that felt like Pirates, not a generic product announcement
Pirates Rugby Club was launching its own streaming service and needed a film to introduce it to supporters. The work had to use the club’s established “face of the game” message without sanding the edges off it.
The aim was simple: make the service understandable and make the launch feel at home in rugby culture.
Working with Dutwaa Creative Agency, we created the launch TV commercial for Pirates TV. The film used the club’s existing brand message as its centre rather than inventing a new campaign language for one announcement.
The source contains no viewership, engagement or subscription data, so the measured impact remains unknown.
We built the film concept around the club’s existing voice and the new streaming service.
We shaped the launch commercial to introduce the service clearly while keeping the rugby culture intact.
We prepared the finished film for the Pirates TV announcement.
